The Sexton look is more versatile than you might first think. Our house style is well known for its sharp, architectural lines and bold, powerful silhouette which empowers the wearer. This works equally well for business wear or for more glamorous occasions such as weddings, evening galas and summer soirees. Indeed, when it comes to party wear, Sexton has always been the go-to for those who do it best. Whether you’re looking for a slightly sexier take on classic separates, or you’re after full on statement tailoring, you’re in the right place. This is what our latest drop, Celebrate is all about. It encompasses the full breadth of Sexton occasionwear, from updated navy and stone tailoring through to a Miami-ready coral two-piece.
First up is one of two contemporary takes on a classic combination. A blue jacket paired with beige trousers has always been a warm weather staple look, as appropriate for the boat club as it is the Royal box at Wimbledon. Giving the pairing a dash of Sexton flair, we’ve combined our new turquoise hopsack blazer with our beige House trouser and finished with a brown stripe linen blend shirt. The jacket’s sharp, angular silhouette is softened by the textured wool fabric - which has been blended with 1% silk - while the trousers offer a classic, mid century look with their twin pleats, high waist and chunky waistband.
For another take, consider our dark navy unstructured blazer. Here is an incredibly versatile jacket that combines elements of classic Sexton with a contemporary, soft cut. It comes with full peak lapels and a dramatic single button front - which broadens the wearer’s chest and slims the torso - yet with completely unstructured shoulders for a more relaxed, laid back look and feel. The jacket’s strong twill weave gives it plenty of texture, complementing the sand Classic trousers and Bengal stripe shirt.
Next up are two suits, brand new for this season. The coral suit doesn’t mess about. Cut from a punchy wool and silk blend fabric, it’s incredibly soft and boasts plenty of crease resistance for a crisp look every time. The bold shade and drape cut of the jacket draws from Sexton’s rich rock ’n roll heritage, and one can easily imagine Mick Jagger or Andy Warhol wearing it on jaunts to the French Riviera in the ‘70s. It looks straight out of a Slim Aarons photograph, and would be perfect for a poolside soiree or summer wedding. Wear it as the full suit, or combine it with sharp navy trousers for a playful separates combination.
For a blaze of vibrancy on the other end of the colour wheel, our turquoise suit fits the bill. Its striking shade transforms our Heritage block with its unmistakable tone and rich wool-silk texture. This classic Sexton suit comes with our signature one button front, which combines with the straight-cut shoulders and broad peak lapels for a powerful, masculine silhouette. We’ve paired it with a light pink tab-collar shirt and finished the look with elegant mid brown loafers. It’s everything a summer suit should be: fun, playful and irreverent, and it’s perfect for celebrating in the sun wherever you happen to find yourself.
