The Contemporary Notch Jacket is precise and elegant: a strong Edward Sexton shoulder, rope sleeve head, generous notch lapel, ticket pocket, and side vents. It moves as well through an evening as it does through a working day, and pairs naturally with earthy tones or a powder blue shirt. Pair with the Classic Trouser in the same cloth for the full suit.

Notched lapels can look handsome too, particularly on business suits or sports jackets, which can afford to be a little more understated. We eschew slim lapels, whether peaked or notched, in favour of generous shapes that reinforce an hourglass silhouette. Adding a second button to a single-breasted jacket likewise softens its impact, but is nonetheless extremely elegant and can help to balance the slightly shorter, squarer proportions of notched lapels.

Our classic gentlemen’s trouser developed in 2023 is clean and close around the top but fuller through the knee and hem. This trouser is both comfortable and timelessly elegant, and with its 2” waistband with a long extension and side adjusters, it sits beautifully on an elegant shoe or rests naturally on a trainer.

A clean, warm tan woven in Italy from 100% wool with a subtle twill construction that gives the cloth a pleasing body and texture without adding weight. At 260g per metre it sits in that ideal middle ground — substantial enough to hold its shape and drape well, light enough to wear with ease. The colour has a freshness to it that works across a long season, and the twill weave adds just enough visual interest to lift it beyond a plain suiting cloth.
